Like your favorite classic rock band, Reveille Barbecue Co. has gone through several lineup changes over the years, but the hits keep coming with great Central Texas-style barbecue now served from a brick-and-mortar location just north of Tomball.

Originally started by Michael Michna and James McFarland as a barbecue trailer just off Highway 249 between Tomball and Magnolia, Reveille Barbecue Co. would bring on local chef and pitmaster Wade Elkins to round out the team and garner a Texas Monthly Top 25 New Barbecue Joint accolade in 2018.

McFarland and Elkins would move on to start their own barebcue joints and Michna brought in family members to open a brick-and-mortar joint on a busy intersection just north of Tomball. Michna, a Marine veteran and current Houston firefighter, oversees operations and teams up with pitmaster Wyatt Norton in producing the excellent CTX-style barbecue for which they are known.
