Chef David Welch brings top-quality Texas BBQ, traditional southern-style sides, and house-made desserts to Fire Craft BBQ in Kingwood, with a wide variety of naturally seasoned and cured meats.

It’s been a long road for David & Teresa Welch to open this friendly and intimate dining room and barbecue joint in a tucked-away shopping center just off Kingwood’s main thoroughfare. David is classically trained in French cuisine and paid his culinary dues at the Pappas Restaurant Group and other restaurants in the Kingwood area.

He got bit by the barbecue bug in early 2010s and opened Fire Craft BBQ as a food trailer on land in Kingwood he planned to build on. But the state had different ideas, building a big road extension right in front of the location, causing never-ending construction delays. When a spot became available in a Kingwood shopping center, he and Teresa jumped on it, finally opening a location to showcase David’s substantial culinary and meat-smoking talents.

Building: Fire Craft BBQ is located on the corner of a strip shopping center. There is indoor seating and a small outdoor, covered patio out front, with picnic tables and umbrellas on the side.

Parking: On-site parking is available in a concrete parking lot for the strip center. There is an ample number of parking spaces at all times.

Ordering: There is a line-up area to the right of the dining room when you enter. When you get to the counter, you place your orders at the register and pay. get a table number, and collect your cups for the drink station. Orders are delivered to your table on trays.

Catering: Expert catering services available, with many references. Allow a reasonable time of a few days for a catering order. There is an order form on their website.
